Using a clay face mask is an excellent way to nourish and detoxify your skin. Clay masks can draw out impurities and absorb excess oils, helping to reduce the appearance of enlarged pores, acne, and blemishes. Using a clay face mask with blueberry extract and yogurt powder can help to promote a clear, glowing complexion.
Bentonite and Charcoal are used for their superior absorbing properties.
Turmeric is added for its hyperpigmentation and will help even out skin tones!
This is a Powder Mix that you will need to add liquid to before using. This allows this mask to last for a much longer time on your shelf
Additional Information
*Note* masks should be mixed just before use and discarded afterwards. Once clay is mixed with water it is difficult to preserve and so should not be stored for reuse later.
Ingredients
Bentonite Clay, Activated Charcoal, Green French Clay, Chamomile Extract Powder, Turmeric Ground
How to Use
1. Start with a clean face.
2. It is important not to use metal utensils with clays.
With a wooden or plastic spoon mix 1-2 tsp clay face mask with 1-2 tsp water or other liquid into a non-metal bowl. Add more liquid or powder until a smooth paste forms.
3. Using a brush or your fingertips, apply a thin layer of the clay face mask over your entire face, avoiding the eye and mouth area.
4. Leave the face mask on for 5-7 minutes or until almost dry. Do not allow mask to fully dry on face.
5. Rinse off with warm water and pat your face dry with a clean towel.
6. Follow up with your regular skin care routine, such as moisturizing cream or oil
Liquids to try:
Flower waters – They are a lovely, gentle and fragrant addition to face masks.
Milk and yogurt – contain lactic acid which acts as a gentle exfoliator, removing dead skin cells and leaving skin soft and smooth.
Aloe Vera – anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, rejuvenating, soothing and calming for the skin, relieves sunburn – stimulates epidermal growth and repair.
Green tea - contains polyphenols, which are plant compounds that have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. This means that they can help reduce inflammation and protect the skin from damage caused by external culprits.
Apple cider vinegar - has anti-inflammatory properties and it consists of acetic acid and alpha hydroxy acid. This means apple cider vinegar can exfoliate the skin, absorb excess oils and unplug blocked pores. It also has the power to restore the proper pH levels to your skin.
