I love when a formula comes together easily—and this turmeric foaming face wash is one of my favorite quick, cold-process recipes. No stove. No hot plate. Just a handful of gentle ingredients and a little whisking magic.
This particular batch is part of my Soap of the Month Club for June, and I’m so excited for members to try it. Each bottle is packed with skin-loving ingredients like honeyquat (for hydration), calendula extract (for soothing), and turmeric extract (for brightening and calming inflammation). Even with just a touch of turmeric, the color is vibrant—a fun little bonus.
For my maker friends, this video walks through every step—from surfactants and solubilizers to pH testing and troubleshooting. I also chat a bit about my essential oil blend (spoiler: turmeric EO smells awful on its own) and why I toned it down with lavender and lemon for balance.
You’ll also see the very real, very un-glamorous labeling step—which I usually do with coffee in hand, right at my desk. I show how I prep samples, label each bottle, and chat about why I love including products like this in my monthly subscription boxes.
Whether you’re here to learn, to shop, or just enjoy the process—thanks for following along. If you’d like to watch the whole process, you can check out the full video on my
